Relic I Lamp
Relic I Lamp is a light sculpture that reimagines the folding fan as an object and a symbol of spatial poetry. A pleated paper illumination unfurls in sweeping arcs, held upright by a totem-like wood base and anchored down by a cast concrete block. The form evokes movement caught in stillness—demonstrating a fan poised mid-opening in a sculptural unfolding of air, shadow, and light.

Inspired by their spiritual and aesthetic connection to the East, the studio explores the concept of inheritance and cultural heirlooms through the process of craft. Intentionally handmade and slow, each work incorporates traditional joinery and paper-making techniques while transforming the familiar into new archetypes in form.
