PP120 Stool
Wegner designed this stool as an accessory to the pp19 Papa Bear Chair. In spite of this intention it naturally accompanies most other easy chairs in PP Møbler’s product line.
The stool is a strong construction with legs that penetrate and interlock with the solid beech wood frame using traditional joinery and the upholstery is made of horsehair and cotton. It is by no means a trivial product, but a genuine piece of exquisite craft.
Wegner clearly demonstrated this himself on several occasions presenting the stool along with many other easy chairs. In this way, the stool exemplifies a similar kind of universal design as the pp35 Tray Table. On either side of the centerpiece, which is similar in every way to a seat, are two handles. These allow for easy relocation and movement without obstruction.

Hans J. Wegner
Hans J. Wegner is among the greatest of furniture designers. And he must also have been one of the most productive, since we today can count more than 1000 models. His designs have been described as 'timeless', 'everlasting', 'perfect to the fullest extent of what is possible', and 'free from passing trends'.
There are many reasons for the quality of Wegner's furniture. The most important is probably his craftmanlike, pragmatic approach to his trade. He always evaluates the practical aspect in the design process by setting up a number of strict rules, dictating the process of giving shape - is this even possible? These rules may not allow for the wild free inspiration, but it demands a creative interaction between the potential of the material and the process of design. As Henrik Most writes in his article on Wegner: 'The biggest freedom stems from the most severe strictness'. In the dialogue between material and creativity, Wegner surpasses most of his peers.

We are proud that the furniture we manufacture can be experienced in many contexts. Over the years, our workshop has taken part in developing furniture which in terms of both design and craft transcends time, space, and generations.
We have also undertaken larger custom projects, which often requires specially designed furniture. Such events challenge our workshop's abilities and encourages us to continue our efforts to create high-quality craftsmanship.
PP Møbler's craft is based on developmental work, production, and experiments with the possibilities of wood. The experiments challenge and inspire us, and help us expand our understanding for our craft.
Our work with prototypes has always been marked by professional pride and will to develop tradition. Whether or not it goes into production is not decisive - decisive however, is the pleasure of creating something which transcends existing limits. Wegner chose us because of our ability and willingness to develop new and exciting prototypes.
